(Inspired by "The 10X Rule: The Only Difference Between Success and Failure” by Grant Cardone) An Arabian king walked along the road, bored with his kingdom. Up the road he saw a grove trees and decided he would rest in their shade. As he was sitting with his back against a tree, neglectin...
Persistence may be a key to success, but often time our attempts at being persistent are intertwined with our will power. The following ideas are pretty much all from the book The Willpower Instinct: How Self-Control Works, Why It Matters, and What You Can Do To Get More of It by Kelly McGonigal...
by Dr. Jeffrey LantYou've heard it and said it since you were a kid: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." That's definitely true if you are the recipient of the words... but absolutely wrong if you are the sender. You see, language completely defines who ...
Often, when applying the law of attraction in my life I used to get stuck on the part of “having faith”. So I searched the net for some quotes on faith. I want to share these quotes with others here hoping that it will help them as it helped me.Here are some of the great quotes on Fa...
I guess what you believe about yourself is very important to success. If you believe you can never achieve something then you almost certainly cannot, if you believe you can achieve something then you are much more likely to do so. If you have a minute try this experiment. Since your probably a...
I found these inspirations in The Secret: Everything is possible, Nothing is impossible.
Every single person deserves to live a wonderful life, and they have the power to do that through their thoughts. We are all blessed to be on planet earth and for some living to see the good in others a...
Someone has said that writing is easy. Simply sit in front of the computer and open a vein. He has a point. Sometimes writing books is agony, especially for perfectionists, of which I am definitely one.
But as I roam through Amazon.com or throgh my local bookstore, it is not long befo...
As a person getting older against my will, I am especially keen on making time count for something, and making progress on the projects that matter to me. I imagine a lot of you out there feel the same way.
In a previous post I mentioned how the little bites technique of the Sli...
Most of us who signed onto this site are people who want to achieve something in this world. We are highly motivated. We are doers.
Still, the majority if not all of us can point to obstacles we encounter in our attempt to get things done and make our mark in the world. For some...
I read in a book called, "the skinny on success", that in the book called "7 habits of highly effective people" it says that people who are able to control their reaction to a stimulus are 5000% more effective than people who are not able control how they react to a stimulus. He cal...

We have had as many as eight members and currently are at three. We spend approximately 90 minutes on Monday at noon with each of us leading a predetermined topic or book review. Last month we chose The Slight Edge and spent three weeks reviewing it. I am presenting the topic of Self-Discipline today. Each of us belongs to a different entrepreneurial endeavor and are discussions are open and helpful to all.
Has anyone stared a mastermind group? It was mentioned in the slight edge. I have started one with my little brother and things are going quite well, but we are alot alike and I wouldnt mind at all to have more people in it. A mastermind group is a group of people who meet to discuss their goals and how to achieve them. It seems to help me stay on track with my goals because I would feel like I would be letting my little brother down if I quit or gave up on my goals. Anway what are your experiences with mastermind groups?

The other thing I thought would be cool is to have a mastermind group feature on this website. Where you could have a leader and that person could invite up to a cerrtain amount of people, or i guess it dosent have to have a limit, idunno. I think this would be nice because there are so many people on here its hard to have a chance to get to know anyone.

I did something similar with PowerPoint a few years ago - easy to do pics and effects. The one I'm working on now is similar to the PP - I divided into 8 categories, (4 front and 4 back), that reflect things I like: Music, Travel, People (heroes), Sports, Homes, Vehicles, Clothes and Women.

I sometimes call it a vision board, but they work all the same. I take a list of my goals in each area (career, financial, social, family, physical, mental/personal development, and spiritual) and I search for a picture that I can use to represent each goal. Example: a small bottle that has a mustard seed inside of it and a key chain attached to the outside that reads "faith." This represents my goal to grow my faith like a mustard seed. My vision boards include new goals (some tangible and others are new habits that I want to develop), and previous goals that I want to continue to improve on (like runnng a mile faster, etc) or that lead to a long-term goal. The intangible goals are the most challenging to find pictures for! Be creative!
I print the picture, cut and paste it to a piece of construction paper, poster board or whatever your preference. Next to it, I write the goal ("I am" statement) and the benefits of that goal. That's it! I have... less

From the Slight Edge:
They are the four universal truths of reaching for a big dream. For a goal to come true:
You must write it down,
Make it specific and give it a deadline.
You must have a plan to start with.
You must understand and pay the price.
You must look at it every day.
