My name is William and I recently joined the communitty here. Since this is the health section I wanted to share my story. Over a year ago I was at 240 pounds; not eating healthy and just felt miserable half the time due to a lack of energy. Then I took on the challenge of P90X, it was a brave choice considering how out of shape I was, but I needed a challenge or I would get bored. So I got the dvds; followed the food plan and lost 36 pounds in 2 months. I finished the program at 200 even after the 90 days were up. I tell this story because this was not easy to do, I struggled everyday with the food/workload, I even wanted to quit a few times. I gutted it out and found a real passion for the fitness I had not known before. I then became a indepedent coach for team beachbody so I could help other people experience the journey I went through and help them reach their goals. There seems to be many people joining different "Health Challeng... moreThere seems to be many people joining different "Health Challenges" lately, but the key is to find something that works best for you, and gets you the fastest results. I have joined a 90-day health challenge myself, and for three weeks of keeping my regular eating habits of pizza, burgers, and fried foods, I have still managed to lose 5 LBS in the last three weeks.

I see some people posting on P90X - Crossfit is similar in concept in that the workouts are compact and high-intensity, and they keep mixing it up. My favorite right now is a Mango Lasse - mango, vanilla or plain yogurt, ice, a pinch or cardamom and a bit of peppermint. I don't know exactly what all the nutritional properties of mango are, but it sure tastes good!
