  Children are like sponges. You make a lasting impression whenever you do or say anything to them.

   

  When I see my children off to school, I always say, "What do I see in you?" and they always reply, "Greatness!"

   

  Did you see Derrick Rose's MVP speech? He was especially emotional remembering his mom and her belief in him (at time 5:09) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeobgK_RvgY&feature=player_embedded#at=316)

   

  I can't wait to see what my children will accomplish, simply because they grew up knowing someone believed in them and they were told they can do anything!

   

  What do you teach your children?

  Loved it, I'm going to try that too. I take all 4 of my kids to school every morning and focus on letting them know how much i love them, but I'm going to add this one liner as well. Thanks for sharing.

  I love this. More parents need to build that in their kids. In our family we teach our kids the responsibility of money, saving and going for what you want. The responsibilites of being a person on this earth includes tolerance - love not hate for anyone or anything. It is the slight edge in getting to where you want to be in life. Great job!

  Teaching children that greatness lies within them, is so important, nothing is impossible! I think of Napoleon Hill and his son Blair, who was born without ears, and could not hear. Hill instilled a Desire in his son that grew in him that made him into the self sufficent man that he became...who was later able to hear!
  
  Let your children, all children know they are loved and they are Special! Teach and show all that is positive in Life!
