Mmmh?.... Here's that Rat I spoke of earlier. 
My inquisitive mind had me researching this issue & I found that right at the top of the pyramid are
'The Banks!'.
They can afford to buy lots of companies like the places we all work in for our day to day existence.
If those business's are not profitable they close them, they can also put the price up of the steel that they own or the oil that they own or anything that they own that industry depends on so that when the going gets Tuff on Mr & Mrs Joe/Jill Average they can provide a Solution.. Bingo!
Now, I am not suggesting that Banks own the Bingo or Poker Rats but they do have joint venture or partnership relationships with those Rats if it serves their needs which of course has an adverse effect on you & me Mr & Mrs Joe/Jill Average.

They thrive on our lack of knowledge or ignorance of the industry & how they all work together.
