It started at a women's retreat, where the youngest among us stimulated the most interaction. Not to rule out the contributions made by the women, but when a young adult outshines those perceived to be the "experts" you gotta take note! And being the mom of two "tween" age girls, all I could think about was, what if... What if my girls, and every girl their age, could be raised within that conversation of possibility that we were witnessing in Amber Olson?? Perhaps it's no surprise that the daughter of Jeff Olson (wildly famous Slight Edge author), and Renee Olson, interpersonal professional, would radiate a world of opportunity, but all I could think about was how every girl needed THAT.
If every girl could gain the exposure to leadership and personal development concepts early in life, like Amber had, then maybe their greater callings would more likely come forth. This could no kidding change the world. (Why not think big??!!)
Thus was born the "Girls2Women-Leaders2Legends" annual event -- going on its 3rd year in the Pacific Northwest! Girls2Women's mission is to produce events that create leaders, one girl at a time.
With the mentoring of Amber Olson, the teachings of Success For Teens, and in partnership with Dr. Laura LaJoie Bishop, a movement is starting that's going to spread across the globe! Stay tuned as we post photos and share how girls, ages 13-18, are taking their leadership into action!
